Terms & Conditions

Quotes & Validity

  • All quotes are valid for 14 days from the issue date.

  • Prices may be subject to change thereafter due to timber or material cost fluctuations.

Payments

  • A materials deposit is required to secure booking and cover the full cost of materials before work commences.

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of installation, on the same day unless otherwise agreed.

  • Late payments may incur a 10% charge per calendar month until settled.

Ownership of Materials

  • All materials and finished products remain the property of Bennachie Woodwork until full payment has been received.

  • We reserve the right to recover unpaid goods or materials in the event of non-payment.

Site Preparation & Access

  • The customer is responsible for ensuring the site is level, firm, and accessible for a Hilux 4×4 with trailer.

  • Additional charges may apply if the ground requires levelling, access is restricted, or manual carry-in is required.

  • Sites must be fully prepared and ready for installation on the agreed date. If the site is not ready or causes delay to the installation team, extra charges may apply to cover wasted time, rescheduling, or additional travel costs.

  • Customers must ensure safe working conditions, including clear access, no loose animals in the work area, and no overhead obstructions. Work may be paused if safety cannot be maintained.

  • Bennachie Woodwork is not responsible for delays caused by poor site access, unprepared sites, or inadequate ground conditions.

Delivery & Installation

  • Delivery and installation are included within the specified zones above; extra charges apply for more distant areas.

  • Installations normally take one working day (weather and access permitting).

  • We reserve the right to reschedule in the event of unsafe weather conditions.

  • Bennachie Woodwork cannot be held liable for delays caused by severe weather, supply issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. Revised installation dates will be agreed as soon as possible.

Guarantee & Maintenance

  • All workmanship is covered by a 5-year labour guarantee against defects in construction or assembly under normal use.

  • Timber is a natural product and may warp, shrink, or split slightly over time — this is not considered a fault.

  • The guarantee does not cover damage caused by storm, misuse, vandalism, or ground movement.

  • To maintain warranty coverage, the shelter should be regularly maintained — including re-treating exposed timber surfaces and ensuring proper drainage around the base.

Waste Removal & Clean-Up

  • All waste and packaging will be removed from site unless otherwise agreed.

  • Additional charges may apply for large waste removal or disposal of existing structures.

Design & Specification Changes

  • We reserve the right to make minor design or material adjustments where necessary to improve strength, quality, or availability, while maintaining the overall specification agreed with the customer.

Planning & Mobility

  • Mobile field shelters are designed to be relocatable and may not require planning permission; however, it is the customer’s responsibility to check with their local authority.

  • Bennachie Woodwork accepts no liability for planning issues arising after installation.

Photography & Promotion

  • We may photograph completed projects for use on our website and social media. If you prefer your project not to be featured, please let us know before installation.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled install date may forfeit the deposit if materials have been purchased.

  • Postponements may be accepted at our discretion and subject to availability.

Liability

  • While reasonable care is taken on all sites, Bennachie Woodwork is not liable for damage to underground services or property not clearly marked or communicated in advance.

  • Our liability for any claim is limited to the contract value of the project.

Acceptance

  • By accepting the quote or placing an order, the customer agrees to all terms and conditions stated herein.
