Built locally in Aberdeenshire, our mobile field shelters combine strength, practicality, and craftsmanship. Designed to handle all weather, they offer reliable, long-lasting protection for horses and livestock year-round.

Our mobile field shelters are designed and built with durability and usability in mind. Each unit is handcrafted using heavy-duty 4x2 framing as standard — providing superior strength and rigidity compared to the lighter 3x2 framing commonly used elsewhere.

Every shelter is constructed from pressure-treated timber for lasting protection against the elements, mounted on solid timber skids for easy relocation, and fitted with OSB kickboards up to 4ft high to protect the internal walls from wear and impact.

We include Onduline roofing and guttering as standard, offering excellent weather resistance and efficient rainwater management. The shelters are fully mobile, meaning they can be repositioned when needed — often avoiding the need for planning permission, making them a flexible choice for landowners and smallholdings.

Available in a range of sizes and configurations, each build can be tailored to suit your animals and site requirements. Whether for horses, ponies, goats, sheep, or general storage, every Bennachie Woodworks shelter is built to last and made right here in Aberdeenshire with care and attention to detail.
